WHAT IS HYPNOTHERAPY?
Simply
stated, hypnosis is a deep state of relaxation. With the
aid of a trained hypnotherapist, positive suggestions can
be made to your subconscious mind to help you with:
- weight
loss
- smoking
cessation
- managing
and relieving physical pain
- traumatic
memories
Most
people have been in a hypnotized state in very ordinary
ways—like driving down a long stretch of highway or
staring at a television screen. Hypnosis is really a
very familiar and natural state in which you maintain
awareness and control.
WHAT
IS ALCHEMY HYPNOTHERAPY?
Alchemy
hypnotherapy addresses childhood pains and traumas by
rescuing the inner child—the part of the adult that has
been damaged by outdated beliefs and memories. David Quiqley,
founder and director of
Alchemy
Hypnosisi Institute,
states that Alchemy Hypnotherapy transforms the lead of
“mental and emotional debris of our mortal consciousness
into the Gold of self-realization."
Alchemy
hypnotherapy uses a combination of processes, including
Conference Room, Inner Guide work, and Inner Journeys, to
help clients overcome a wide range of conditions, including
addictions and phobias.
Alchemy hypnotherapy can be used to aid in calming anxiety
and managing pain. Clients can be taught how to use self-hypnosis
to manage pain and anxiety on their own.

WHAT
IS THE ORIGIN OF EFT?
"The
cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the
body's energy system."
Gary Craig, EFT Founder
EFT
evolved from a technique called Thought Field Therapy™ (TFT)
developed by Dr. Roger Callahan, a clinical psychologist.
Dr. Callahan discovered this technique while he was studying
acupuncture and the body's energy system. During this period
he was treating a patient who had a severe water phobia.
Dr. Callahan noted that the patient said her fearful feeling
was located in her stomach, so he tapped on the meridian
point under the eye that is linked to the stomach and anxiety.
After a few minutes of tapping, she stated excitedly that
the fearful feeling was gone. She then told him her water
phobia was also gone and proceeded to prove it.
Gary
Craig, an engineer from Stanford and a master NLP practitioner,
studied with Dr. Callahan. After several years he created
a procedure that is easy to use which he called Emotional
Freedom Techniques (EFT) .
Here
is a brief description of how EFT works: After measuring
the emotional charge of your problem (on a scale of 0-10),
you state the problem clearly and do the Basic Recipe. The
Basic Recipe consists of tapping energy meridians on the
body while saying a phrase associated with the presenting
problem. It takes only a minute or two to do, and the results
are often quite remarkable. For a complete step-by-step
explanation of how to use EFT, call for an appointment or
visit www.emofree.com .
THE
METAPHOR OF THE FOREST AND EFT
Gary
Craig uses a metaphor to explain EFT. He states the presenting
problem is similar to a forest with diseased trees. Each
of the underlying specific issues of the problem represents
a diseased tree. At first, the forest is so densely populated
with trees that it seems impossible to find your way out.
When you neutralize each specific negative event connected
to the problem with The Basic Recipe, you are effectively
cutting down a diseased tree. Continue cutting down these
trees, and after a while the forest will have thinned out
so that you can walk out of it with ease.
